About Us

History

In the spring of 2015, Gwen Herman and Emily Tarr felt inspired to bring about change in the workforce for people with cognitive disabilities. This inspiration, coupled with their love of food, resulted in a business plan dedicated to hiring and providing food service training for people with cognitive disabilities. Shortly after a board of directors took shape.
Together they incorporated Munch as a non-profit entity.

Starting February 2016, Munch launched their catering menu with a focus on corporate and business lunches and breaks. Two amazing catering assistants (people with some form of cognitive disability) were hired to help take on this task and Living Spirit Centre in Regina graciously provided the rental of their kitchen space for this endeavour. Catering services will be the continued focus of Munch until they are ready to expand and complement existing services with the development of a cafe.

within the community of Regina and beyond!
